Separating Fact from Fiction: The Reality Behind Attacks on Players by Medrunner

For several years now, Medrunner has been the target of ongoing attempts by certain groups to damage our reputation within the Star Citizen community. These efforts have included false flag operations, impersonations on Discord and other social media, and other misleading actions designed to make it appear as though Medrunner members are acting in ways that go against our values.
Recently, we’ve even seen NPCs being dressed in Medrunner uniforms and placed in public areas like spaceports to create the illusion that we are attacking other players. To be clear: these are not Medrunner members, and such actions run directly against what we stand for. Please remember: Anyone can wear this type of armor. While we love our uniform and what it stands for, not everyone who wears it is guaranteed to be a member of Medrunner.
It’s also important to note that every emergency call made through our official client portal is tracked. We know exactly which members respond, when they are active, and each client can provide direct feedback through the web app. This makes it virtually impossible for misconduct, such as robbing or harming clients, to go unnoticed. In the past, there have been individuals who joined Medrunner with the intent of causing harm from within. These cases were identified quickly, and those players were permanently removed from the organization. Such behavior is incompatible with our principles and would never be tolerated. Guaranteeing this is one of the many reasons we do not mainly use the in-game medical beacon system.
We want to reassure everyone: Medrunner has no reason to harm its own reputation. Our mission has always been to provide reliable medical support, teamwork, and positive contributions to the community.
We kindly encourage you to approach claims and unusual encounters with a critical eye, especially when they don’t align with how you’ve come to know Medrunner. If you ever have doubts or believe that a Medrunner member has acted inappropriately, we ask that you reach out to us directly through a moderation ticket on our official Discord. We take all concerns seriously and are always open to dialogue.
